Making the Tik Tok famous Taco Burger and it was delicious.
Dinners over here have been some incredible goulash with dumplings (I have perfected how to make this now) or pork ribs, pork roast, pork stir fry. The biggest meat product over here is you guessed it pork.
It is always hit and miss if we can find chicken and there is mince in abundance and of course sausages of every shape flavour and style which we have tried a lot of.
The kids were begging to try a recipe they saw on tik tok that had a zillion views (well into the millions) and so that is what we made tonight and I absolutely enjoyed it immensely. It surpassed my expectations and I’m not a big burger girl but mixing the burger flavour with the texture of Mexicano taco but not the Mexican flavour and having it fried is a match made in heaven and a keeper for me.
So simple…
1 x 500g of mince
1 x packet of tortilla sheets
shredded lettuce
Sliced tomatoe
Cheddar cheese or cheese of your liking
BBQ Burger Sauce
Pickles - a must in my book!
salt and pepper to taste
(you could also flavour the mince with onion powder, garlic powder and chilli flakes but we started plain).
You mix the seasoning into the mince and then divide evenly and flatten onto the tortilla sheets.
Then you add a little oil to the fry pan and fry then on a low heat on one side until the meat is cooked through then flip it over add your cheese to the meat and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Once cooked you add your toppings and sauce and of course some hot chippies on the side and then enjoy!
