Display Home Village in Eugendorf
On one of our bike trips Ben and I found a display village in Eugendorf and we went with Jess to have a look to see how different or similar their style was to Australia.
They all had large windows and glass doors to allow the natural lighting, a lot of the homes had floating staircases and many were not open plan.
I loved the higher roof height of 300m raked ceilings and the large room sizes and many of the rooms had built in cabinetry with the beds and desks all built in together. We also loved the one way shower mirror screen and the feature wall in the shower of a full size photograph of a waterfall.
Entering the bathroom, then the wardrobe to enter the master bedroom was different and a lot of the display homes had that flow through effect.
The sauna in the bathroom we have been told is very common in homes here and they would definitely be in use often to warm up when you come in out of the cold and snow, it felt very decadent right there on display in the bathroom.
It was nice just to wander around the homes and take in the styling with a lot of timber wood panelling and rock feature walls. Many of the kitchen island benches were also floating islands leading off to a cute hidden butlers pantry past the oven and the fridge.
One thing I found really interesting was they were selling the houses in this display village for around 285,000 euro only to lock up stage - no bathrooms, no kitchen, no internal fixtures and fittings. It was then up to the buyer to organise their own internal works. The sales agents were saying how there had been a downturn since 2021 and lending was very difficult which seems to be the running theme worldwide.
