Making Honey Joys

On Sundays the town winds down and all the major shops are shut and many of the attractions are also closed so really what better excuse to have a day of rest. We all didn’t get out of our pjs until lunch time and even then it was a day of reel scrolling, tv screen time and naps. Ben was the only one who left the apartment and went for a walk into the forest and discovered some new trails.

Jessy and I decided to cook Honey Joys and bought all the ingredients at our last shop. We didn’t have any measuring utensils which made it a bit challenging but in the end the joys were nice and chewy and such an easy snack to keep in the cupboard.

We only needed

2 cups of cornflake

125g of butter

8 cupcake casings

1/3 cup desiccated coconut

1 tablespoon of honey

2 tablespoons of sugar

Jess originally thought they were overcooked but after she had one she said they were goooooood.
