Visiting Bad Ischl Waterfall in Spring
It was a spectacular warm day to visit Bad Ischl. Ben and I have been before but it was winter time and now it was a lot warmer and we wanted to see what the waterfall was like. Well it did not disappoint and was rushing as fast as it was in Winter.
There was a great walk alongside the waterfall that was closed when we were last there so we decided to see what it was like. It meanders the whole way beside the waterfall which goes on for Km’s and it just beautiful cascading over the rocks and such crystal clear water with some little rapids in between.
The walk was around an hour and it went down hill which was a very easy walk. I did question to Mum and Ben if the intention was to walk back up, however we all decided we would find a bus at the bottom.
This took quite a while to locate but it didn’t phase me as I loved walking through the villages looking at the houses and buildings and taking in the scenery.
We found a cute little spot for lunch of our boiled eggs and salad and then as soon as we finished, crossed the bridge and found the bus stop the bus arrived which took us all the way back up to the top.
The funny thing was we were a tad early for our connecting train so Ben suggested we get off a little early and just walk the rest of the way up while taking in the town. We didn’t realise it was such a steep incline and quite long and mum was having a laugh at Ben and his suggestion of walking to sight see while panting the whole time.
The day was very enjoyable and the waterfall always amazes me how it is situated right in the centre of town and runs so strongly and with quite a lot of water.
